Peterborough vs QPR Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
Peterborough take time off from their relegation battle to host QPR in the FA Cup fourth round. The home side are 22nd in the Championship, while their opponents are riding high in fourth place. Peterborough haven't reached the fifth round of the FA Cup since 1986. Having won promotion from League One last season, they received a bye through to the third round of the FA Cup. They beat League Two Bristol Rovers 2-1 at home to get to the fourth round. That's far better than last season when they lost to non-league Chorley in the second round. Peterborough are in the Championship relegation zone and two points from safety but with a game in hand. They have only earned one point from four league games since their third round victory. The Posh should have won at Birmingham and were 2-0 up going into the 85th minute but only drew 2-2. Their most recent game was a 2-0 home loss to Sheffield United
QPR are attempting to get to the fifth round of the FA Cup (the last 16) for the third time in four seasons. They have already played at Peterborough this season and lost 2-1 in October. QPR led that game 1-0 but lost to a last-gasp second half goal. Since that loss, QPR have only lost two out of 14 league games. They are fourth and only two points adrift of the second and final automatic promotion spot and have a game in hand. QPR are in top form with five wins in their last six league games and have the third best away record in the division. To reach the fourth round, they beat League One Rotherham United at home, but had to go to a penalty shootout. Back them to get the win here.
