Perth Glory vs Western Sydney Wanderers Prediction & Betting Tips - A-League

Perth Glory bid to get back into winning ways when hosting Western Sydney Wanderers. The home side are one from bottom in the A-League with their opponents second in the table. Perth come into this game having earned just three points from their last six matches. The last two have both been lost and it's not a good sign for them when those defeats have come against clubs down at the bottom of the table. Those losses have left them seven points behind the final play-off position. Even more frustrating is the fact they have led in five of their last six games and not won any of them. The two recent losses were both on the road and Perth have the worst away record in the A-League with just four points from ten games. Glory are a lot more difficult to beat on home soil with four wins, the same number of draws and just one loss to leaders Melbourne City.

Western Sydney Wanderers closed the gap between them and Melbourne City to six points last week. While City were losing to Adelaide United, Wanderers were beating Central Coast Mariners at home. They are only second on goal difference from Adelaide and finishing second  is the difference between entering the play-offs at the semi final stage rather than the quarters. Wanderers have only lost one of their last eight league games but their last two games have ended in wins to nil with six goals scored. Both were home fixtures though and on the road Wanderers have a poor recent record. Their last away league win was in November and since then they've played seven games with five draws and two defeats. One of those losses was at Perth in their first game of 2023. The last three away league fixtures have seen both teams score. That looks the safest market to bet on in this match.
