Seventh placed Perth Glory host Melbourne City who are top of Australia's A-League. Perth are only one place and a single point behind the final play-off position. They come into this match on an unbeaten run of six league games, though three of the last four have ended in 2-2 draws. They are one of only two clubs in the A-League who are yet to lose a home fixture, the others being their opponents in this game. Perth have won four and drawn three of their home league games and including last season are without a loss in their last nine. That run includes a 2-0 win over Melbourne City last May. Current form has seen Perth win three of their last five at home with six of the last seven seeing both teams get on the scoresheet.

Melbourne City begin the weekend seven points clear at the top of the A-League and with a game in hand. Last weekend saw them thrash Macarthur Park 6-1 at home. That ended a run of three successive league draws. They are now unbeaten in seven league games with their last defeat being at Sydney in December 2022. Their away form is the best in the A-League with four wins out of seven. Only one of their last four away league fixtures has been won. Four of the last five on the road and four out of six at all venues has seen both teams scored. A bet on that stat to come up this weekend looks a winning one to make.
