Panama vs Paraguay Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies

Panama and Paraguay will face off in an international friendly at Estadio Rommel Fernandez Gutierre on Sunday night. This will mark the final match for these sides before they make the trip to the US for the upcoming Copa America. Panama will enter this match with great confidence, having secured back-to-back wins in their first two CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers last week. The first victory was by a 2-0 scoreline against Guyana and that was followed by a 3-1 win over Montserrat three days later. With that, Los Canaleros have now won seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, with the only exceptions being losses to Mexico and Jamaica in the Nations League back in March. Those defeats were also the only ones they’ve conceded on home soil in the last year. However, the hosts have never beaten this opponent in the past and are considered outsiders in this one. 

Meanwhile, Paraguay have not been in the greatest shape leading up to Copa America. They have failed to win any of their last four games in all competitions and also failed to score a single goal in those matches. During that period, they drew and lost one match piece to Chile, drew goalless with Peru and lost 1-0 to Colombia. The last time Albirroja won a match was in October last year when they beat Bolivia in a World Cup qualification match. That was also the only victory they’ve managed in eight games in all competitions. On the road, Paraguay are winless in their last eight games (W0 D1 L7) and only managed to find the net in one of those matches. Based on form, it is somewhat surprising to see the visitors down as favourites here.
