Palmeiras are in big trouble in this Copa Libertadores semi-final tie. They take on Boca Juniors at home but need to put on a big performance after losing the away first leg 2-0. These two teams are getting rather familiar with each other as this is their fourth meeting in the tournament. The two sides were drawn together in the group stages and so far it's one win each and a draw. Palmerias won their group by seven points and the home draw with Boca Juniors was the only one in which they dropped points. They are seeded number one for the knock-out stages and have beaten Cerro Porteno and Colo-Colo to reach this semi-final. They lost the home second leg of their tie against Cerro Porteno but it looked as if they were going to get a draw at Boca Juniors in the semi-final first leg. The scores were level with seven minutes to go but then Benedetto scored in the 83rd and 87th minutes to totally change this tie. Palmeiras have won three of their five home games in this competition and have only lost one of their 15 home league games this season.

Boca Juniors are ninth in the Argentinian Superliga and only have two points from their last three league matches. The win in the first leg of this tie is their only victory in their last five matches in all competitions. They have only won two of their last eight away games and have failed to score in three of them. Only one of their last seven away games in the Copa Libertadores have been won but they have managed a win and a draw in the knock-out stages this year. Palmeiras will be all-out on attack for this game as they need to score at least twice to take the game into extra-time. They can be backed for the home win.
