Paços Ferreira are struggling to stay out of the relegation zone and their task gets tougher when second placed Porto come to town on Saturday. The hosts are 17th in the standings and are eight points from safety while the relegation play-off spot is five points adrift. The visitors are four points behind leaders Benfica going into this 29th round. Paços Ferreira lost 3-1 to Maritimo in their last round, increasing the gap to play-off relegation spot to five points. That result made it back-to-back league defeats plus a run of single win across seven matches. Not just in the points table, but also in goals scored and conceded, Paços Ferreira are at the wrong end. They have scored only 21 goals and conceded 49 – which are the second-worst respectively.
