Oxford United vs Newcastle Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
League One Oxford United have already had a good run this season in the EFL Cup. They are doing ok in the FA Cup too and host Premier League Newcastle United in this FA Cup fourth round replay. Oxford are eighth in their division and only three points behind the promotion play-off places, so there's a lot of life left in their season. They are unbeaten in their last four league and cup games, though three have ended level. Only one of their last six at home have been lost and that was to league leaders Rotherham United. Their previous home defeat before that was to Manchester City in the EFL Cup. Oxford have already beaten West Ham United at home this season so won't be scared of Newcastle. They had a reasonbly straightforward route to the fourth round, beating Hayes & Yeading, Walsall and Hartlepool United before grabbing a draw at Newcastle.
Saturday saw Newcastle draw 0-0 at home to Norwich City. That left them 10th in the table, five points off fifth but only seven above the relegation zone. They haven't had a decent FA Cup run for a while and a win here would take them into the fifth round for the first time since 2006. They are undefeated in their last seven league and cup games but have just two wins in their last 10 matches. Away form has seen them go five without a win but the last three have all ended in score draws. They don't have their next Premier League gam til the 16th but may still leave key players out, checking the teams is going to be important here. A bet on both teams to score looks a good one to make.

Our Oxford United vs Newcastle Prediction
This should be a cracker of a cup tie. Oxford have already beaten West Ham United at home this season and have a good cup record. Newcastle regularly struggle in cup games and a lot will depend on how strong a line-up they field. A bet on both teams to score is the suggested wager here.
