AC Oulu are fifth in the Finnish Veikkausliiga and that would take them into the Championship Group. They host IFK Mariehamn who are 10th in the table and six points behind their opponents. Oulu are only three points ahead of Inter Turku who are seventh and that position puts teams in the Relegation Group. The home side won their last game 2-0 at Ilves and really needed that victory. Their previous two games had both been lost, including being beaten 6-0 at home by VPS. Three of their seven home league games this season have been won, with two losses. Those two defeats have been in their last three games so a win over IFK is important for them. 

IFK are four points behind the Championship Group but are unbeaten in their last four league matches. They have only won three of their 14 matches in the Finnish Veikkausliiga and have a minus 5 goal difference. Away form is poor with just the one win and four defeats. They lost four in a row before four points from their past two games. That included winning at VPS who had just hammered Oulu. They score regularly but can't keep clean sheets. Their last six league fixtures have all seen both teams get on the scoresheet. Back that stat to come up in this match.
