Of particular concern for the hosts will be that they have not won any of their four home games this season, drawing one and losing three. They also conceded two or more goals in three of those matches. The hosts are the underdogs in this one. 

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid will come into this match brimming with confidence. They beat Real Madrid 3-1 at home last week, taking them to 10 points, and they do have a game in hand on the sides above them. Over their first five league matches, the visitors have won three, drawn one and lost one. That solitary loss came against Valencia directly after the international break, though they did beat Rayo Vallecano 7-0 one match earlier. Los Colchoneros got their Champions League campaign started with a 1-1 draw against Lazio last week. Diego Simeone’s side will play three games in the space of a week, which could mean the manager may consider rotating a few of his players in this one. Atletico have won each of the last ten matches against this opponent and have only conceded two goals in that time.
