It's been a worrying time of late for Nottingham Forest but a win over Hull City on Boxing Day took them to seventh in the Championship. They look for three more points with a home game against bottom of the table Wigan Athletic. Forest are only a point behind the final promotion play-off place and have a game in hand. They had gone five league games without a win before the victory at Hull City with two Lewis Grabban goals getting them the welcome win. Only one of their last five home league games have been won, before that though they had won three out of four.
Wigan Athletic are bottom of the Championship but only one point from safety. They last won a league game on October 20 and since then have 12 league games without a win. Despite that they are on a four-game unbeaten run, all ending in draws. Away form for Wigan isn't good at all and they are still looking for their first away league win. Forest did well to win at Hull and will want to keep that form going, back them to get a home win in this match.
