Nottingham Forest vs Southampton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

This is a Premier League relegation six-pointer that both clubs need to win. Forest begin the weekend in 18th place with opponents Southampton bottom of the table. They are only in the bottom three on goal difference and will be hoping for the expected Manchester City home win over 17th placed Leeds United. Home form is the only reason that Forest haven't already been relegated. The midlands side have earned 24 points on home soil, compared to just six on the road.  Only one away league game has been won this season and it was a 1-0 victory at Southampton. Their last home league fixture produced an excellent 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion, now it's time to beat another south coast club. The win over Brighton ended a run of five home league games without a win. Three of those games were drawn though, including a 1-1 stalemate against Manchester City.

Southampton are on their way back to the Championship. Only a drastic improvement in form can avoid that happening. They begin the weekend six points from safety with just four games remaining. Their appalling goal difference virtually makes it seven points from safety. The Saints have lost 22 games in the Premier League this season, four more than any other club going into this weekend. Only three points have been earned from their last nine league matches with five of the last six being lost. They did get a 3-3 draw at Arsenal but really should have won that game. Southampton have won four away league games this season but been beaten in 11. Go for Forest to get a vital home league win here.
