Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Nottingham Forest host Carabao Cup winners Liverpool on Saturday (kick off, 3pm) with the home side's position in the Premier League becoming more precarious after Everton's 10-point penalty was reduced to six this week. That means Everton leapfrog Forest into 16th, with Forest now four points clear of the relegation zone. Nuno Santo's men have won two of their last five games at home, losing the other three but they did win their most recent home league game, beating West Ham 2-0. They did succumb to defeat in the FA Cup 5th Round in midweek, losing 1-0 to Manchester United. Both teams have scored in eight of Forest's last nine games and there have been over 2.5 goals scored in seven of those matches. But with four defeats in their last six games, the home side will be desperate to repeat their 1-0 success over Liverpool at the City Ground last season. 

Liverpool come into this game in the midsts of an injury crisis that saw 13 first team players ruled out of their FA Cup tie with Southampton in midweek. Despite that, the newly crowned Carabao Cup Winners still emerged 3-0 winners, thanks to goals from youngsters Lewis Koumas and Jayden Danns, who netted a double. Klopp did try and rotate his fit first teamers around in midweek so it is likely the Reds will have a more experienced line up for this game but even so, it will be a tough test. Liverpool have lost just 2 of the last 13 to Forest and their form heading into this game has seen them land five wins in a row since that defeat at Arsenal. Last weekend's 1-0 success at Wembley came on the heels of a 4-1 win at Anfield over Luton in their last Premier League outing and the Reds know a win here will keep them top of the table regardless of how Manchester City or Arsenal do.
