Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion’s chase for top six slots will continue this weekend when they meet at Carrow Road. Hosts Norwich are just two points off the top six and will hope to peg back West Brom, who are currently fifth. Both these sides have done well in their recent matches and hope to build on their recent performances here. The hosts come into this game on the back of a 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup. In their second straight win, Norwich had to come from behind, meaning they have no clean sheet in their last six matches. In 10 matches, they have managed just two clean sheets, a run that has at times cost them in light of their good scoring form. Only the top four sides have scored more than Norwich City’s 44 goals so far. However, the Canaries have conceded 43 goals, highlighting their defensive struggles. In their last five meetings with West Brom, they haven't managed a clean sheet and it will be interesting to see how it goes here.

West Bromwich Albion have a good run coming into this game, with two straight wins, and four in the last five matches. The visitors are coming off a 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers, their second successive win with that margin. Earlier, they had thrashed Aldershot 4-1 in the FA Cup. Having scored 10 times in the last five matches, West Brom will be confident coming into this game. They’ve scored slightly less than Norwich in the league but have a stronger defence comparatively, having conceded 25 goals. to stay within touching distance of automatic qualification though, West Brom must improve on their away form. They are currently 13 points below second placed Ipswich. Carrying to this game a run of five away league losses in eight poses a danger to their ambitions. The Baggies have a five-point buffer ahead of the seventh placed team, a gap they will be keen to keep extending.
