Norwich vs Middlesbrough Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Norwich City remain on course to win promotion back to the Premier League. They top the Championship by six points after the midweek games and host seventh placed Middlesbrough. City have gone four league games without defeat, with only one loss in the last ten played. They have won each of their last three league fixtures with only one goal conceded. Their home league record is only bettered by Watford. They have won eight out of 13 with their only defeat at Carrow Road being inflicted on them by Derby County in early October. Since that defeat, Norwich have gone 11 games unbeaten at Carrow Road with eight wins and three draws. Three of their last four home league matches have seen them keep a clean sheet and only eight goals have been conceded in their 13 fixtures at home.
Middlesbrough are chasing hard aferr a promotion play-off position but come into this game in poor form. Wednesday saw them lose 3-0 at home to relegation-threatened Rotherham United. That was their fifth loss in seven league games, two against sides who were in the bottom three. Their three most recent wins have all come against the other sides in trouble down at the bottom of the table. Only four of their 15 away league games this season have been won. Ten goals have been scored in their last four away league matches (against poor sides remember) but before that, Boro had only scored five in the previous nine. Boo are only three points off sixth place at the time of writing this preview but there needs to be a big improvement in their form to get into the play-offs. With the away side struggling for form, a home win is the tip for this match.

Our Norwich vs Middlesbrough Prediction
Norwich City are looking good to bounce back to the Premier League. Their home form is strong with no losses in the last 11 league games played. They take on a Middlesbrough side that suffered a bad loss on Wednesday evening. Five of their last seven league games have been lost and this is the toughest fixture they can have. City can get the win here to stay clear at the top of the Championship.
