Norwich vs Brighton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
It's going to take a miracle for Norwich City to avoid relegation to the Championship. They are bottom of the Premier League and host Brighton and Hove Albion who are 15th but not quite safe from relegation. Wednesday saw Norwich City lose 4-0 at Arsenal leaving them seven points from safety. It's virtually eight because of their terrible goal difference. With only six league games remaining, it's looking like when they will be relegated not if. The loss to Arsenal was their fifth defeat in a row in league and cup games. Like the other two sides in the bottom three, they just aren't showing many signs of escaping relegatiion. Home form was always going to be vital for Norwich City but they just haven’t delivered. Only four league victories have been recorded at Carrow Road this season. Even worse, nine have ended in defeat for the home side. If they are to have any chance of escaping the bottom three, they probably need to win all their remaining home fixtures. They have played two home league games since the season resumed and both ended in defeat. Norwich failed to score in both of those games with Teemu Pukki still struggling. His last goal from open play was in December of last year. Only 19 home league goals have been scored and 30 conceded. Just Southampton have conceded more at home in the Premier League, though nine of those came in one match. Southampton are also the only side to have earned less home points this season than Norwich. Norwich have scored just once in their last eight league games, relegation is just around the corner.
Tuesday saw Brighton and Hove Albion lose 3-0 at home to Manchester United. That was a disappointing performance, though United were in top form that night. You sensed that Brighton didn't expect to get anything from that game and were concentrating on this trip to Norwich City. A win at Carrow Road would almost make them safe from relegation. Brighton have only won two away league games this season. The first came at Watford on the opening weekend of the season. They had to wait until December to get their second, a 2-1 win at Arsenal. Since then, the Seagulls have gone eight away league games without a win. It’s not been all bad though with the last four all drawn. That includes draws at Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanders and Leicester City. A trip to Norwich looks one that they can pick points up in but it's hard to trust them on their travels. A bet on under 2.5 goals looks the one to go for.

Our Norwich vs Brighton Prediction
Norwich City are yet to pick up a point since the Premier League season resumed. They aren't scoring goals in the league and relegation looks a certainty for them. Brighton are close to ensuring they remain in the Premier League. They had a poor result in midweek and struggle to score goals. With a poor away record, the bet here is for under 2.5 goals to be scored.
