Norwich vs Aston Villa Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Aston Villa are fourth in the table but seven points adrift of Cardif who occupy the second automatic promotion place and have played a game more than their Welsh rivals. All is not lost though as Cardiff host the league leaders Wolves at the weekend and then travel to Villa Park in midweek. Two defeats for Cardiff and two wins for Villa would make the situation very interesting indeed. First of all, Villa have to get three points at Norwich and had a confidence boosting home win on Tuesday beating Reading 3-0. That was a welcome win after a run of just one point from three games and two wins in their last five away league matches. Three goals being scored on Tuesday will hopefully get them going again and on their travels they have failed to score in their last two matches. Earlier in the season, Villa beat Norwich 4-2 at home and they need a win here to continue their promotion chase.

Norwich City are down in 14th place, 11 points off the play-offs and with no relegation worries so little to play for really. Any hopes of a play-off place have been wrecked by a run of one win in their last ten league games, though six of those have been drawn. Home form sees Norwich with one win in the last five and last weekend they lost to third-placed Fulham.  With Villa having much more to play for, the away side can inflict more misery on Norwich and take the three points back to the midlands.
