Norway vs Turkey Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Nella Wagah | in World Cup Predictions
The biggest shock as the 2022 World Cup qualifiers kicked off in Europe was without a doubt, Tukey’s 4-2 win at home to Netherlands. Now Turkey travels to Norway hoping for another win in Group G. After failing to qualify for the World Cup since 1998, the amount of quality in the Norway team should be able to deliver that slot for the 2022 competition. Hosts Norway are coming from a 3-0 win over Gibraltar, which was expected, even after using key players sparingly in the game. Having played one of the weakest sides in the group, and resting key players, Norway will have a level of freshness going to this game. With just three losses in 17 matches, they’ll look at this as a game they can win, but having just four clean sheets in the last 10 matches means some defensive work needs to be done. They should be aware this game poses a different kind of challenge but having scored in 21 of their last 22 matches, and with some of the top attacking talent in Europe, Norway should be good enough to match Turkey. At home, they have two straight wins and clean sheets, and have lost just twice in the last 19 home matches. Norway are unbeaten in their last four World Cup qualifiers at home.
Turkey thrashed a more fancied Netherlands ahead of this game, with Burak Yilmaz impressing as he scored three. With such a fine start Turkey may feel they have what it takes to get to the World Cup for the third time but they have a tough away fixture here. Just like the Norwegians, Turkey will head to this game hoping their defence works well, having conceded two or more goals in in the last five, while having just a clean sheet in nine matches. They don’t seem to have many issues on the attacking front though, having failed to score in just one of the last five. They’ve scored two or more goals in four of the last five matches. In their last away game, Turkey lost to Hungary, extending a run of four winless away matches. In World Cup qualification matches, they have one win in five away.

Our Norway vs Turkey Prediction
Both these sides head here with wins in their opening fixtures. Norway played a much weaker opponent and had their top players play a bit part in the game. The two sides are known for great attacks but have questions in defence. We don’t expect either side to keep a clean sheet based on that, so go for over 2.5 goals here.
