Norway vs Luxembourg Prediction & Betting Tips - International Friendlies
by Nella Wagah | in Football Predictions
Norway is among the nations with some of the top talent in Europe, who will not be at the Euro 2020 finals. They failed to make the cut and will continue with preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with a friendly clash against Luxembourg, to be hosted in Malaga, Spain. The World Cup qualifiers resume in September but before then, Norway have two friendly matches, the other being against Greece. Norway claimed a 1-0 away win over Montenegro in their last game, which was their second win and clean sheet in the last five matches, after thumping Gibraltar 3-0 earlier. Twice in their last five matches, Norway have conceded three goals – the 3-0 defeats to Turkey in the World Cup qualifiers and Romania in the Nations League. They’ve faced Luxembourg six times before, all in competitive action, and Norway won all, though the last time they met was in 2003.
Luxembourg have one win in their last six matches and this was a shock one as they beat Ireland 1-0 in Dublin in March. Gerson Rodrigues, who turns out for Dynamo Kiev netted the all-important goal then as Luxembourg started their 2022 World Cup qualification process on a high. Rodrigues was on the mark again against Portugal in the second qualification game, but the European champions rallied to win 3-1 with Diogo Jota and Cristiano Ronaldo among the scorers. Luxembourg have six losses in the last 10 matches and failed to score in four. They’ve managed just two clean sheets in the last 24 matches but these have come in their most recent five matches. Placed 96th in the FIFA world rankings, Luxembourg will go to this game hoping to upset their 42nd ranked opponents.

Our Norway vs Luxembourg Prediction
Norway are way stronger than Luxembourg and just like in their previous meetings, all which Norway have won, they will be favorites here. Luxembourg have managed just one win in their last six matches and in their recent meetings with teams in the top 50, they’ve managed just the win over Ireland. They conceded three against Austria and Portugal, and with the quality in attack that Norway bears, Luxembourg could be in for a hiding. Go for Norway to win in both halves.
