Northern Ireland vs Switzerland Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
Northern Ireland warmed up for their clash against Switzerland in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with a friendly win over Estonia and will be hopeful of a win at home. They are fourth in Group C with four points while Switzerland have seven points, each of the nations having played three matches so far. Earlier in this group, Northern Ireland beat Lithuania and they will be targeting a second win. Northern Ireland have failed to score in two or their last five matches and take to this game three clean sheets in five games. In the three wins in their last five matches, they’ve beaten much weaker teams – Malta, Estonia and Lithuania. They’ll be aware of this coming challenge and will need much improvement in their World Cup qualification performances, having managed just one win in the last seven, and four losses in the process. They’ve failed to score in four of five World Cup qualification matches and are winless in their last three home matches in the qualifiers, losing two.
Switzerland on the other hand, are coming from a 0-0 draw with Italy and will feel stronger going to this game as they look to close in on the group leaders. They are good in attack, and their only game without a goal was against the European champions. Switzerland have scored two or more goals in three of their last five matches and three of them have ended in over 2.5 goals. They will once again be without skipper Granit Xhaka for this game but here they can handle his absence well. In World Cup qualification, Switzerland have eight wins in their last nine away matches; their only loss was against Portugal.

Our Northern Ireland vs Switzerland Prediction
Switzerland head to this game on a good run in World Cup qualification, especially when playing away from home. They face Northern Ireland, who haven’t done so well in the qualifiers and have struggled at home in the last three matches.
