Nigeria and Guinea Bissau will face off on the third Match Day in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The two nations occupy the top spots in Group A, with hosts Nigeria leading with six points while Guinea Bissau have four points. Three straight defeats ahead of this game have been eye opening for Nigeria and against Guinea Bissau they will get their sternest test in this group. The same is the case in their last five AFCON qualification matches, their only clean sheet coming in the 3-0 win over Congo in 2021. They have gone undefeated in the last four matches in AFCON qualification and facing the toughest opponent in this group, the target will be to go unbeaten in five. In the last four matches in AFCON qualification Guinea Bissau have scored two or more goals but will not be so happy at their performance against Sierra Leone, where they let slip a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2.
