After three straight defeats, Niger will be hoping to get one over Algeria in Match Day 4 action in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers Group F action. Niger are playing as the home team in this game but will have to host the clash in Rades, Tunisia as they lack an approved venue to host a match of this magnitude. Niger scored first in their last game, against Algeria, taking a half time lead, but succumbed in the second half, and conceded twice to lose the game 2-1. By being the home team, Niger got the right to choose the timing of the game and with their opponents observing Ramadan choosing one hour before Iftar is considered a favor for Niger. That remains to be seen on the sporting side but the hosts will be looking to come from a run of three straight defeats, two of them against Algeria. Niger are also without a win in their last six AFCON qualification matches and they’ve managed just one win in 10. In three of their last six matches in this competition, they have failed to score.

Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez scored a late winner in the home game against Niger and the North Africans will be hoping for a cleaner job this time round. They had a stroke of luck with an own goal from Rahim Alhassane before Mahrez scored the winner to keep their winning run in AFCON qualification going. Algeria have now won each of the last four matches in AFCON qualification and another win here will secure them a slot at the 2024 showpiece. They have three clean sheets in their last four AFCON qualification matches, scoring two or more in each one of them. The Desert Foxes are unbeaten in 11 AFCON qualification matches, winning eight. They haven’t also lost in the last five away matches in this competition.
