Nice vs PSG Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Ligue 1 leaders PSG travel to eighth placed Nice looking to avoid a third straight league defeat. PSG still have a six-point lead over second-placed Lens and a far superior goal difference. Recent form is a worry though with two home league losses to Rennes and Lyon plus an exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich. They last last two successive Ligue 1 games in September 2020. Just like then, PSG failed to score in either of the two defeats. While PSG have been having problems at home, they have won their last couple of away league fixtures. There have been three away Ligue 1 defeats this calendar year after been unbeaten on the road up until January 1.

Nice are struggling to make it into European competition. With nine games remaining, they are seven points adrift of Lille who are in sixth place. They have been the draw kings in recent league matches with the last four all ending level. It could have been worse though as they trailed in all but one of those games. Unlike their opponents, Nice are still in European competition and take on Basel in the Europa Conference League quarter finals. They are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in Ligue 1 but not won since the end of February. Only five home league games have been won this season with six draws and three losses. Not that many goals have been scored either with 30 in 14 matches but 18 of them were scored in just four games There have been under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine home league fixtures. That stat may well come up again this weekend.
