With the quality in the Wolves side, the team newly promoted from the Championship was expected to challenge for a top four position but while they have had some flashes of brilliance, there has been some form of inconsistency in their run. They have picked just four points from a possible 21 matches – in their last seven and this game against Newcastle should be winnable for Wolves. Newcastle had a horror start to the campaign but in the last few matches, managed to wake from their slumber, picking three wins, with two at home. Newcastle have won five of the last 10 meetings with Wolves while Wolves have one win, with four matches ending in draws.
