Newcastle vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Both of these clubs had a good time last weekend but cannot rest on their laurels. Newcastle United are 17th but now six points above the bottom three, but host fourth placed West Ham United. The past few weeks have seen Newcastle in danger of dropping into the bottom three of the Premier League. Not this weekend though and a win over West Ham will take them nine points above Fulham and on level games. With Fulham away at Arsenal and Chelsea in their next two games, Newcastle's hopes of survival have greatly improved. Last weekend saw them come from behind to win at Burnley 2-1, now they try to beat another side in claret shirts. United have only one loss (at Brighton) in their last six league matches. However, the win over Burnley ended a run of seven league fixtures without a win. Four of the last six have been drawn and they may well be happy with that result this weekend. Home form has seen Newcastle win one of the last nine in the Premier League. The last three have been drawn, twice them needing a late equalizer to get the point. 

The reverse fixture was played on the opening weekend of the season. West Ham lost that game 2-0 and after another loss at Arsenal, there were fears of another disappointing season. They certainly weren't expecting to be in the top four in mid-April. Last weekend saw them get an excellent 3-2 home win over third placed Leicester City. They are in the FA Cup this weekend, a win for West Ham in this game will take them up to third place and four points clear of fifth placed Chelsea who are also on FA Cup duty this weekend. West Ham have scored three goals in each of their last three Premier League matches, but also conceded seven goals in those games. The trend is to go 3-0 up and pray they can hold onto that lead. They didn't against Arsenal but managed it against Wolves and Leicester. Away form has seen four of the last seven league matches won. The only two losses in that time were both against the Manchester clubs. West Ham can be backed to get the win here, especially if Lingard remains in his good scoring form.
