Newcastle United had to battle against relegation last season and are in the same situation again this time around. They have just three points from their opening ten league games and the only good news is that they are only two points from safety. They have only scored in one of their last five league games (the 3-2 loss at Old Trafford) and lost all five home league games this season, failing to score in the last two. Only Joselu has scored more than once for them this season but even he only has two goals and he hasn't scored since August.  The fans are still cheering Benitez but January isn't too far away and it's vital this time he gets some money to spend.

Watford made a great start to the season winning their first four matches but then they went through a bad patch with just a single point from the next four. The past two games have been important for them as they try to recapture that early season form. It's worked out for them with impressive wins away to Wolves and at home to Huddersfield Town without conceding a goal. They have seven points from their four away league games this season and have a good run of away fixtures so could again be pushing for a top seven finish. Watford have won their last five games against Newcastle and won 3-0 there last season. Watford are the form side and can get another win.
