Newcastle United host Nottingham Forest and it's a game both sides could do with winning. United are seventh in the table and Forest only one place above the relegation zone. Newcastle lost 1-0 at Luton Town on Saturday and that was their third loss in their last four Premier League games. With them also being knocked out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup, the Magpies need to go on a winning run. They are now seven points adrift of fourth place and have lost seven league games this season. Six of those losses have come in away fixtures but it's been a different story at home. They have won eight out of nine played this season, the other being a last-waste loss to Liverpool. Each of their last five home league matches has been won and clean sheets kept in four of them. Newcastle come into this game with the best home defensive record in the Premier League with only four goals conceded compared to 18 on their travels.

Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-2 at home by Bournemouth on Saturday in Nuno Espirito Santo's first game in charge. The Reds are now only two points above the relegation zone. Nottingham Forest struggled on the road in last season's Premier League and are doing so again this term. Only five points have been earned from their nine away league fixtures. Just seven goals have been scored and 19 conceded. Their last away league game did produce a point as they drew 1-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Their only away league win of the season came at Chelsea in September and since then they've gone six without a win.
