Newcastle United lost on Monday evening to Aston Villa and have another tough game this weekend. They are 14th in the Premier League and look for points against third placed Manchester City. Newcastle are only five points above the relegation zone but four behind fifth place in the table. A couple of wins or losses can change positions a great deal in the Premier League this season. The home side had beaten West Ham United and Bournemouth before the loss to Aston Villa on Monday. Their home record has seen them win only two of their six league games but only one has been lost. That was to Arsenal on the opening day of the season. They beat City last season but it looks a tough task repeating that shock result.

Manchester City are third but nine points behind league leaders Liverpool. They just can't drop points in games like this if they want to close the gap on Jurgen Klopp's team. They have won four of their six away league games this season but lost at both Norwich City and Liverpool. 16 away goals have been scored this season and the loss to Newcastle last season was their first since 2005. City have to win this game, especially with Liverpool likely to get three points against Brighton. They didn't have to travel in the Champions League in midweek so should be fresh and ready for this game. A bet on them to win and lead at half and full time is the suggested one to make.
