Newcastle United had lost both of their Premier League games before traveling to Tottenham on Sunday. They came away with a confidence boosting 1-0 win thanks to a goal from new signing Joelinton. That averts crisis for a little while and they now turn their attention to the Carabao Cup. United haven't had a decent cup run in a fair while. The last two seasons have seen them knocked out in the second round by Nottingham Forest. At least, they don't face them this time around but a home game against in-form Leicester City isn't going to be at all easy for them.

Leicester City are up to fourth in the Premier League after winning 2-1 at Sheffield United on Saturday to continue their unbeaten run. The past two seasons have seen them reach the Carabao Cup quarter final. On both occasions it was Manchester City who knocked them out.and it was double heartbreak with both games being lost in a penalty shoot-out. City have drawn four of their last five Carabao Cup games and two league games this season. Both teams are likely to make a few changes for this tie, a bet on a draw is the suggested wager.
