Newcastle - Leicester: Form Analysis
Newcastle United are on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. Eddie Howe's charges have surpassed expectations this season and a point will secure their top four finish. They are all but there anywhere with them three points clear of fifth placed Liverpool and a superior goal difference. The Magpies ended a two-game run without a win last time out with a thumping 4-1 victory over Brighton at home. They have been one of the most potent sides in recent weeks and have scored 19 goals in their last six fixtures. The win over Brighton was the fourth time in the last six matches that they had scored three or more goals a match. With this form, coupled with their dominance this season over Leicester, Newcastle will be confident of a win here.
Leicester City are struggling at the opposite end of the table and have to win one of their last two games to have any hope of survival. They are three points from safety but a win here will see them go above 17th placed Everton on goal difference. Dean Smith's appointment last month hasn't panned out as expected. Smith has overseen Leicester's last six matches and has managed only one win. They lost 3-0 away to Liverpool last Monday and have now conceded eight goals from their last two matches. Last time away they lost 5-3 to Fulham. Leicester have lost the last three matches against Newcastle and having not won away in seven matches, they could be in for another defeat.

Newcastle & Leicester Squad Analysis
The win over Brighton that consolidated third place for Newcastle came with a downside with Joe Willock suffering an injury. The midfielder suffered a hamstring pull that could as well rule him out for the remainder of the campaign. Willock joins an already long injury list that includes Jamal Lascelles, Matt Richie, Sean Longstaff and Jacob Murphy. Eddie Howe however still has options in his squad to cover for Willock with Elliot Anderson one of them. Callum Wilson scored his 18th goal in the league in the win over Brighton and will once again lead the line. The Englishman has scored eight goals in Newcastle's last six matches.
Dean Smith will have the same squad that played against Liverpool available to him with no injuries reported after the game. Leicester will however continue to be without Kelechi Iheanacho for the fourth successive game due to injury. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is also a doubt for this match after missing the Liverpool game with a foot injury. James Maddison and Harvey Barnes have scored a combined 22 league goals. They both were on the score sheet in the loss to Fulham two matchdays ago which is the last time Leicester registered a goal. If Leicester are to come away with a win here, those two will play a big part in it.

Our Newcastle vs Leicester Prediction
Newcastle have lost only twice this season at home. They certainly do not want to see a third take place in this game. With their superior goal difference over Liverpool, they are all goal in next season's Champions League. Another point will see them there for sure. They host a Leicester City side that will be desperate to get something from this game. A win would see them escape the bottom three but their form is not good. Can they cope with Isak and Wilson? We don't believe so. Our ediction for Newcastle United v Leicester City is for Newcastle United to win.
