Newcastle have five points from their last three league games and miracle of miracles even got an away point last Saturday. They are still in the bottom three though, a point from safety having played a game more and have an inferior goal difference. Three games to go and they really need to at least win the next two. That's possible with a home game against Cup finalists Crystal Palace and an away trip to already relegated Aston Villa. The final home game is against Spurs, not so easy though the title chase should be over by then. Newcastle have improved under Rafael Benitez and home form is decent (it has to be otherwise they'd have been relegated weeks ago) with just one defeat in their last seven home matches. Crystal Palace are eight points above the relegation zone but played a game more. They still look safe though and have an FA Cup Final to look forward to. Will that mean they take their foot off the gas in the league? With their league record in 2016 it might be difficult to notice. Just seven points from the last ten league games and one win over an out-of-form Swansea isn't impressive at all. It's also nine away games without a win so they look perfect opponents for a Newcastle side desperate for three points and that's just what I think they'll get.
