Newcastle vs Brighton Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Newcastle are battling to get back into the Premier League at the first attempt. It's been a bit up and down in their first four games in the Championship with two wins and two defeats. That has still taken them to seventh place in the table, four points behind league leaders Huddersfield Town (that won't last) and two behind second placed Brighton and Hove Albion who they host this weekend. Newcastle began life back in the Championship with a 1-0 loss at Fulham. It got worse for them when they lost to Huddersfield at home and Newcastle fans must have been thinking 'here we go again.' Since then it's been a lot better though with a 4-1 win at home to Reading and a 1-0 win at Bristol City plus victory over Cheltenham Town in the League Cup. Brighton and Hove Albion would be in the Premier League now but for the stupid play-off system. They are determined to get automatic promotion this season and are doing just that so far with a four game unbeaten run in the league. Albion began with a solid 0-0 draw at Derby and followed that up with two 3-0 home wins over Notts Forest and Rotherham before coming from behind to draw 2-2 at Reading. No away wins in the league so far and this won't be easy. Newcastle are still a bit inconsistent so I go for both teams to score here.
