A worrying problem for Newcastle United is that they have lost their last two home games. Saturday saw them beaten at home by Fulham and that followed a recent defeat by Fulham. On the plus side, they can lose this game by a one-goal margin and still start planning their trip to Wembley.
The Magpies have won ten of their last 12 matches and had won five in a row at home before the two recent defeats. Arsenal are the fourth Premier League side United have faced in this season's Carabao Cup.
They have already beaten Nottingham Forest (on penalties), Chelsea and Brentford. A goal in each half at the Emirates gave them a 2-0 lead after the first leg.
Arsenal last reached the final of this competition in 2018 and it's 32 years since they lifted the trophy. To reach the semi-finals this year, the Gunners have beaten Bolton, Preston and Crystal Palace.
