Netherlands vs Gibraltar Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

The Netherlands will host Gibraltar on Monday in round two of the 2024 UEFA Euro Qualifiers. The two teams are pooled together in Group B and both suffered heavy defeats in their opening group matches on Friday. Gibraltar were humbled 3-0 at home by Greece while The Netherlands succumbed 4-0 away to France. The Oranje will seek a quick response to put the defeat to France behind them. They have dominated Gibraltar in their two previous meetings scoring 13 goals without reply and will hope for another goal fest to try and reduce or completely erase their negative goal difference. The loss to France could be put down to a virus that affected a fifth of their squad with stars like Cody Gakpo and Matthijs de Ligt among five players leaving the squad. New boss Ronald Koeman however still has a strong lineup at his disposal that should get the job done against a team ranked 194 places below them in the FIFA world rankings.

The loss to Greece was Gibraltar’s fourth in their last six matches and broke a rare winning run of two matches. They have had wins over Leichtenstein and Andorra and kept clean sheets in both of those matches. Now they face a considerably talented team and that run of success is going to come to an end. Gibraltar have never won a Euro qualifier, losing all of their 19 matches since 2014 and should be in line for another defeat on Monday. Their last five away European Championship qualifiers have been lost by an aggregate score of 19-0. Coach Julio Ribas has the luxury of picking from a full squad for this one, unlike his Dutch opposite number but that is unlikely to change the outcome
