Nashville SC will welcome the reigning champions, Los Angeles FC, to GEODIS Park this weekend for a Western Conference showdown in the MLS on Sunday. Nashville SC got their season off to a great start with two early home victories in their first three match, but they’ve struggled to kick on from there, managing just one win in the next five matches. The hosts are currently in sixth place in the Western Conference standings and come into this one having lost their last match 2-1 to New York City last week, which extended their winless run to two matches, following a stalemate against Toronto the previous week. Of the four matches they’ve played at home, Nashville has won two, drawn one, and lost one, scoring four goals and conceding just one in that time. The hosts won 1-0 the last time these sides met, but with the start their opponents have made this season, this looks like one that Nashville would settle for a point in.

The visitors have also gotten off to an excellent start to the 2023 season and are currently the only side in the Western Conference that is still unbeaten after seven matches. LAFC currently sit in second place, with 17 points, just one point behind the current league leaders, St Louis, though they have played one game less than the side at the top. LAFC have drawn two and won five of their first seven matches this campaign, with their most recent win coming in their last match against their hometown rivals, La Galaxy, 3-2 last week. With that win, LAFC have a record of two wins and two draws in four matches on the road. LAFC are now on a four-match winning streak and will feel that they are in good enough form to maintain their unbeaten record in this one.
