Napoli have three points from their first two games of the new Serie A season. They have had two high-scoring matches both ending in a 4-3 scoreline. Sampdoria are bottom of the table compared to their opponents who are tenth. They are one of five teams in the league who have lost both of their games this season. They lost their first league game 3-0 at home to Lazio. That disappointment was followed by a heavy 4-1 loss at Sassuolo with Domenico Beradi hitting a hat-trick in 14 first-half minutes. Only one of their last eight league games have been won, though that was against a Juventus side whose form dipped after clinching the title.
