Two stuttering teams will look to get their campaign back on track as Napoli host Monza in their final league game of the year. That doesn’t absolve the hosts of their poor recent run, where they have lost three of the last four league games. The only win in this sequence came against relegation-threatened Cagliari, underlining the kind of troubles they have been going through. To add to that, home form hasn’t been pristine either. Napoli have won just one of their last five home league games, but that came in their most recent fixture here.

Monza are sliding down the table due to recent inconsistencies and find themselves just eight above the bottom-three. That’s largely because of their poor recent run which saw them lose three of the last four league games. The exception being a 1-0 win over Genoa, although two of those three defeats have been through a single-goal margin. The visitors have managed to keep their defensive side of the game impressive though, with only 18 goals conceded so far. That may not count for much if they can’t improve their recent run of form on the road, that saw them pick up just a point from two trips.
