The latter part of 2019 wasn't a great time for Napoli who start the weekend in eighth place in Serie A. They resume the season with a home game against league leaders Inter Milan, who are 18 points ahead of Napoli. The home side aren't even in the Europa League places and have already lost five league games this season, winning just six out of 17 They ended 2019 with an away win at Sassuolo and that ended a run of eight league games without a win. Home form has been patchy with three wins, two draws and three defeats. Napoli have just two points from their last four home league games with the last two being lost to Bologna and Parma.
Inter top the table on goal difference from Juventus and it's only the second placed side that has beaten them in Serie A this season. They have won 13 of their 17 league fixtures and come into this match on an unbeaten run of ten league games, though two of the last three have ended in draws. Their 1-1 draw at Fiorentina ended a run of seven straight away league victories this season. It took a 92nd minute equalizer for Fiorentina to grab that point. Inter will want to get the new year off to a good start and can be backed to get an away win here.
