Napoli's title challenge in Serie A took a blow when they lost 1-0 at home to Cagliari on Wednesday evening. They are fourth in the table but six points behind leaders Inter and four adrift of second placed Juventus. The home loss to Cagliari was their second league defeat out of five, having previously lost away at Juventus. Napoli had won their last three home league matches and have only lost three of the last 26 home games in Serie A.
Brescia were promoted from Serie B last season and have made a steady start to the campaign. Five games have produced two wins and three defeats with six goals scored and seven conceded Both of their wins have come in away games with victories at Cagliari and Udinese. Midweek saw them defeated too with a 2-1 loss at home to Juventus. Their other league defeats have come against Milan and Bologna with seven goals conceded in the last four matches. Napoli can't afford to let the gap between them and the top two get any wider, go for them to get a home win here.
