Napoli came second in Serie A last season pushing Juventus close but still losing out by four points. They got the new season off to a good start under new boss Carlo Ancelotti with a 2-1 win away at Lazio. It wasn't the easiest of wins as they went behind in the 25th minute. Napoli equalized two minutes into first half injury time and a 59th minute goal by Insigne gave them the three points, They now take on AC Milan in their first home league game of the season and will hope to carry on the form they showed last season when winning 14 out of 19 on home territory and only losing twice. They've lost just three of their last 34 home league games and will this season again be a match for anyone.

AC Milan finished sixth in Serie A last season but 27 points behind Napoli. Away form was inconsistent with eight wins, five draws and six defeats. They only won one of their last four away league games and this is their first league game of the season. Pre-season saw them compete in the International Champions Cup beating an under-strength Barcelona side, losing on penalties to Manchester United and being defeated by eventual winners Tottenham. They have a poor record with just one win in their last 14 meetings. That record can get even worse this weekend with a home win for Napoli.
