Nantes vs Strasbourg Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

17th placed Nantes host Strasbourg knowing a win will take them out of the relegation zone. Strasbourg are one place above them but only on goal difference so this is a real six-pointer down at the bottom of Ligue 1. A win over Strasbourg could take them as high as 15th in the table but they are struggling for form at present. It's not been a great week for Nantes with a French Cup final defeat and then losing 2-0 to Brest on Wednesday. They have now gone ten league games without a win with just four points earned in those matches. 22 goals have been conceded in thos league games and last weekend they let in five in the French Cup final. Home form in Ligue 1 has seen them go five without a win but three of the last four have ended level. There's been no shortage of goals with over 2.5 scored in each of the last four. That stat has come up in eight of their last 11 league and cup matches.

Strasbourg know this is a game they dare not lose. Doing so will take them back into the relegation zone. They had been stuck in the bottom four but then league wins over AC Ajaccio and Reims lifted the out of trouble. They couldn't make it three successive league wins though and last time out lost 2-1 at home to Lyon after taking an early lead. Strasbourg have lost eight away league games this season, winning just three. The recent victory at Reims ended a run of six away league games without a win. Ten of their last 13 away Ligue 1 fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals scored in them. We go for that stat to come up again this weekend.
