Nantes have the chance to win three successive Ligue 1 games when they host Reims in the fourth round this Sunday. Les Canaris are third going into this match, seven places ahead of Les Rouges et Blancs. Read on for our prediction.

From the opening three rounds, Nantes are unbeaten, with seven points. They are two points behind leaders PSG and confident of building on their form in August. Their campaign started with a 0-0 draw at Toulouse before registering back-to-back wins, against Auxerre and Montpellier.

Their 3-1 victory against Montpellier before the break was the first time they conceded a goal this season. As they look to improve on a dismal run last season, Nantes will be gunning for a first win in five meetings with Reims.

Reims have been dominant in this fixture in recent times and will be banking on this to improve their fortunes after the two-week break. There was noticeable improvement from a poor start for the visitors. 

They can only hope being out of action for two weeks doesn’t roll back the gains. In their last match, Luka Elsner’s side rose from a goal down to beat Rennes 2-1. That marked their first win of the season after starting with a loss against Lille then a draw with Marseille. 

In all their matches this season, Reims failed to keep a clean sheet, conceding first in each of them. However, when facing Nantes, they won three of the last four matches and kept four clean sheets in that period.
