Struggling Nantes will welcome Lens to the Beaujoire Stadium in a Ligue 1 clash slated for Saturday. A poor run of form has seen Nantes plummet to 13th in the log while Lens are eighth on 29 points. Nantes are looking to stay clear of the relegation zone while Lens will seek another Champions League berth. The hosts currently only have a three-point buffer between them and the dreaded relegation zone. Their recent form has been abysmal, suffering an exit in the French Cup at the hands of Ligue 2 side Laval. Most recently however, they managed to stop the bad run by registering a 0-0 draw with Stade Reims. They could have collected three points were it not for Tino Kadewere missing his spot kick in the 73rd minute. Nantes’ sorry league form reads a draw, four consecutive losses and have conceded the third most goals.

Lens will be seeking a return to European places in the league standings with a win over Nantes. The visitors secured a 2-0 win over Toulouse last time out to halt their two-game losing streak in the league. Lens had David Costa and Andy Diouf to thank for the victory as Vincent Sierro missed a spot kick for Toulouse. Their form on the road has however been commendable, suffering only one defeat in their seven games, against high-flying Nice. Lens will hope Florian Sotoca will be at his usual creative best after five assists this season and three goals. The Blood and Gold will miss the services of Nampalys Mendy who is until recently was with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations.
