AFCON qualification action resumes this Wednesday when Namibia will battle it out with Zimbabwe at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg. The Brave Warriors have not been able to record a point yet and currently anchor Group J, while the Mighty Warriors are in third position with two points. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Namibia will come into this match after a disappointing performance against Kenya in which they saw themselves with the majority of possession yet were unable to capitalize on their opportunities resulting in a 2-1 loss.

That was their third defeat in a row and the Brave Warriors will now need to conjure up a run of positive results if they hope to further their campaign this season and gain entry to the AFCON.

However, Namibia will be able to look into this match with some confidence as they have won two of their last three matches while scoring a total of six goals when playing in neighboring South Africa.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, had managed to secure a point against African giants Cameroon in their most recent qualification match in a surprisingly even match on the day. 

The Mighty Warriors have now drawn their first two qualification matches and will look to build on their recent efforts to qualify for the next stage.

Yet, with a mixed performance in their last five matches away from home (W2, D1, L2), Zimbabwe will need to convert more of their opportunities if they hope to proceed any further in this competition as they have only found the back of the net four times in those matches.
