Matchday 20 in the Indian Super League brings us a crucial top-half battle with  Mumbai City playing host to Goa at the Mumbai Football Arena on Wednesday afternoon. The Islanders are fifth in the league standings, while the Gaurs are second after 19 games. Let’s get into the match prediction!

With just four games to go after this one, this is a must-win match for Mumbai City if are to challenge for a top-two spot in the standings as they did last season. 

The Islanders secured a 2-0 victory over NorthEast United on the road last week, a result that took them to four games unbeaten since mid-January (W2 D2 L0). 

At home, the hosts are aiming for a third game without defeat and have maintained clean sheets in four of their last six matches dating back to the end of November. 

Meanwhile, this is also a huge match for Goa, who currently lead third-placed Jamshedpur by just two points, meaning defeat here could see them give up second spot in the standings. 

The Gaurs racked up their third win in four last week, beating Odisha 2-1 at home. They have only lost one of their last 14 top-flight matches (W9 D4 L1) dating back to mid-October. 

The visitors have been very tough to beat on the road this season, losing only once in nine games, while taking 16 points from a possible 27 on offer.
