Defending champions Ivory Coast stand a disturbing chance of not making it past the group stage of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. The Elephants have been deplorable this campaign, collecting a paltry two points from their first two group matches, against DR Congo and Togo. The Ivorians drew 0-0 with Togo in their first match before settling for a 2-2 draw with Congo in the second match. The Ivory Coast squad is lined with superstars, among them Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, Salomon Kalou (Hertha Berlin) and Jonathan Kodjia of Aston Villa. However, they have failed to create a presence in the tournament. They now have to beat Morocco with any other result leading them to bow out of the tournament early in the day. Morocco lost 1-0 to DR Congo in their opening match before beating Togo 3-1. Should the Moroccans win, they will automatically qualify to play in the quarterfinals.
