Morocco vs Central African Republic Prediction & Betting Tips - AFCON

AFCON 2025 hosts Morocco, who are participating in the qualifiers anyway, will on Match Day 3, take on the Central African Republic. The Atlas Lions welcome The Wild Beasts to Oujda for this Saturday's Group B match. Below is our prediction.

Morocco have taken early control of Group B despite having already secured their ticket for the AFCON 2025 finals. They have six points from the two opening matches and start as favorites here too.

In a 2020 meeting, the most recent between these two nations, Morocco posted a 2-0 win. That marked their third straight victory against the CAR. A total of 11 goals were scored in the last three meetings between the teams.

Morocco started their Group B activities with a 4-1 win over Gabon before beating Lesotho 1-0 in their last game.

The CAR, like Morocco, started their qualification campaign with a win, overcoming Lesotho 3-1. However, they couldn’t sustain the run as on Match Day 2, they fell 2-0 away to Gabon.

That was their second defeat in three matches and CAR will particularly be disappointed at their performances in defence. In just the last three matches, the visitors conceded seven goals but it is encouraging that they scored six times in the process. 

CAR actually come into this game having scored in 11 of their last 12 matches. Three defeats in the last four AFCON qualification matches point to the amount of work they need to do. 

It isn’t much better away from home in AFCON qualifiers; they have only two wins in 19, and lost 13 times.
