Monza will welcome Sassuolo seeking their second Serie A victory over them this season. Six points separate the two teams coming into this match with 12th-placed Monza having the advantage over Sassuolo in 15th. Monza have struggled to win matches and have managed just six victories in 21 league outings. One of those victories however was against Sassuolo which should have them confident of winning again here. Raffaele Palladino’s men won 1-0 away from home and have now won two straight against their soon-to-be visitors. I Bagaj have lost their last two matches which have both been heavy defeats. After a 5-1 thumping by Inter, Monza were thrashed 3-0 by Empoli last time out.

Sassuolo are also coming off a 3-0 defeat. Alessio Dionisi’s men suffered their 11th loss of the campaign away to Juventus. It was their sixth defeat in eight outings. It whipped out the morale that was building following a 1-0 success over Fiorentina just days prior. Sassuolo are also struggling to win matches and have managed just five wins so far. They will hope the almost two-week break since last taking to the pitch sees them return reenergized. Sassuolo, who have a game in hand, have amassed 19 points and are desperately in need of three points. Failure to do so could see them end the round in the relegation places.
