Montpellier are 13th in Ligue 1 and struggling for form at present. They look to get a welcome win on Friday when hosting sixth placed Lens. Last weekend saw Montpellier lose 2-0 at Monaco and that defeat left them a point above the bottom three in Ligue 1. La Pallade have now gone five league games without a win, earning just two points. It's been a big drop in form for them after losing just one of their five previous league fixtures. Scoring goals has a tough task for them during this poor run of form. They have only hit the back of the net twice in their last five league matches and both came from the penalty spot. Not since their 3-0 home win over Toulouse in late October have they scored from open play. That victory is their only home league win of the season with four draws and two losses. 

Lens had a nightmare 6-0 loss at Arsenal in the Champions League but recovered well at the weekend. They beat Lyon 3-2 at home after the visitors took an early lead. That was their third successive win in Ligue 1 with six goals scored in the last two. The Blood and Gold started the season poorly and were down towards the bottom of the table. The win over Lyon extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to nine games, last losing in September. A form guide for the past ten league fixtures has them third in the table with 11 points more than their opponents. Away form has seen them unbeaten in their last four league games. With their opponents struggling for form and goals. we go for an away win here.
