Borussia Monchengladback slipped down to fifth place in the Bundesliga after losing to Borussia Dortmund. This is their game in hand on the top four and a win over 10th placed FC Koln will take them up to third. Monchengladbach had been unbeaten in their last five league matches before their weekend home defeat. They went behind early in that game, equalized in the second half but conceded again 19 minutes from time. The defeat took them out of the Champions League places but victory here will see them return and go to within six points of leaders Bayern Munich. Home form has seen them win eight league games with only two losses. A win in this game will see them join Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund as the teams with most home league wins. 

FC Koln won promotion back to the Bundesliga last season and have made a solid return. They are only five points behind the final Europa League place and 11 above the relegation zone. They come into this game in good form with wins in each of their last three league matches. 10 goals have been scored in those three games including a 5-0 win at Hertha Berlin and a 3-0 home victory over sixth placed Schalke 04. It's improved form as they have only won four away league games this season, losing seven and conceding 27 goals. Monchengladbach are strong at home and are yet to lose a home league game against a side lower than them in the table. The tip here is for a home victory.
