Borussia Monchengladbach takes on Cologne in the Bundesliga this Sunday. Gladbach are currently fourth in the table, three points behind league leaders Bayern Munich. Up until relatively recently, it was Gladbach who sat atop the league. A recent slump saw them slip down the table. They have managed only two wins from their last seven matches in all competitions. While there is cause for concern, Gladbach fans will try to keep perspective. This weekend they play at Borussia-Park, a fortress in the German top flight this season. No team has a better home record than a Gladbach side that has won eight of the ten games played on their patch. Peering for cracks will have you looking into the distance; those two failed attempts at winning came at the start of the campaign. Gladbach let in goals at home (they have conceded in 80% of their home matches) but almost always outscore opponents. 

Few teams travel as poorly as Cologne. Fourteenth in the table, they have a six-point cushion between themselves the drop-zone, and staying up will likely be achieved off the back of their home form. The relegation-battling outfit have only crafted two wins from their ten games on the road. While their last trip resulted in a 5-1 battering from Borussia Dortmund, Cologne have reason to be optimistic. One of the form teams in the top flight, they have picked up five wins from their last six Bundesliga matches. One of those victories was at Eintracht Frankfurt, and it's no easy feat picking up points there. Matches between Gladbach and Cologne have been close affairs in recent seasons, each taking three wins from the last six meetings. We think it could go either way here and that the best bet is a high-scoring thriller. Back Gladbach to win and both teams to score.
